The 10 Favorite Items of 2019
29 December 2019
1:03 PM
It is so hard to believe that it's time to write the annual recap post for the blog favorites! So much happened this year that I am truly thankful for, including all of you being here! Thank you so much for your support and love for our family! I never in a million years thought that this dream would become a reality and you are such a huge part of it! I love y'all!
So onto the favorite items of 2019! Most of them were from Amazon, which didn't surprise me! LOL I live on Prime! Also, a large part came from spring and summer looks which are my favorite pieces to share! So with out further adieu, here are the top selling items from 2019!
{affiliate links used in this post}
1. This $22 palm print kimono was hands down the most popular item purchased on my blog! I am wearing a size small. I wore it on our spring break cruise and at least once a week through out the summer! I love that it has arm holes and stays on easily!
{other outfit details: black one piece, sandals (color sand), sunglasses, wide brim hat, water bottle}
2. So many of us got this $22 off/on the shoulder jumpsuit! It fit me TTS and I am 5'10" for height reference. I am wearing a medium. It would be really cute belted and I have worn it with a jean jacket and sneakers for a more casual look.
3. This black one piece suit is next on the list and so incredibly flattering! Sometimes with a long torso, one pieces can be tough but this one is a winner! I am wearing a medium which is size 8/10 so a size up from my typical 4/6 size. It is $27 and worth every penny!
4. I wore this red floral maxi dress to New York city this summer and it looked so much more expensive than it is! It's only $35 and ships free with Amazon Prime! I wore the size 4 but wish I had gotten the 6 as the chest was a little tight. If you go between I would size up!
{other outfit details: avery's jean jacket, purse, white eyelet set, sandals. my sandals, earrings, sunglasses}
5. These gladiator studded sandals are SO comfortable and look so much like the designer versions. I wore my normal size. I love that you can dress them up or keep it casual! They are just $23.
{other outfit details: chambray is old but here is a similar, white v-neck tee, similar white jeans shorts, white pearl wrap bracelet, layered gold necklaces. Charlottes' shoes}
6. The next favorite item is the bag that I probably carried the most this year. My ride or die Barrington Gifts St Anne tote bag! It is so roomy and has tons of room for all the mom essentials! Mine is basically like a Mary Poppins bag 24/7 and has held up SO well! I use this amazon prime tote bag organizer to help keep everything in its place inside it!
{other outfit details: oversized sunglasses, earrings, black peplum top, jeans, similar leopard mules}
7. This pink striped high waisted bikini is SO cute and flattering! I love the super high waist and it comes in a bunch of colors. It is about $27 and ships free with Amazon Prime. I am wearing size 6. I think it fits TTS but if you go between I would size up.
8. This blue dress was one of my very favorites last spring! I wore it for an Easter egg hunt, church and just running around town! It is $29 and I wore the size 4/6. It is bump friendly as well! All of the other items that I am wearing in this picture are old except my monogram necklace.
9. This striped romper is so cute and comfy! It is under $20 and ships free with prime. Plus it has a true button front making it nursing friendly. I am wearing a medium which is my normal size.
10. I still can't believe the quality of these $9 rattan earrings! They were my go to all summer and still look brand new! They also ship free with prime yay!

Gift Guide: Teachers
25 November 2019
5:21 AM
The next most requested gift guide by far this year was for teachers! We are all so thankful for our incredible teachers and knowing how to show that thanks can be tricky; especially when buying for several people. Over the years I have done a variety of things for our teachers. From gift cards to their favorite stores/restaurants to a little gift basket or a monogrammed item!
{affiliate links are used in this post}
Some examples of past gifts that I have given include a cozy blanket and a gift card to Barnes and Noble for a teacher who loves to read, or a monogrammed cheese board and grocery store gift card for the entertainer, or this letter mug with a Starbucks gift card for a coffee lover. I included a few fun ideas like a personalized lanyard, the BEST coffee mug that actually keeps coffee hot, tech gloves with AMAZING reviews (Under $15 + prime) and some affordable but chic jewelry. I also love to include a note/card from the girls to their teacher and from Kris and I sharing our gratitude for them!
You can click on the images below to see each item!
Gift Guide: Mother & Mother in Law
24 November 2019
4:14 AM
Good Morning! I woke up way before the rest of the crew today, so I am coffee in hand finishing up the most requested gift guide so far! Knowing what to buy for your mom or mother in law can be so tricky! Whether they have it all or don't want anything (in my mom's case!) it calls for some creativity. A lot of the gifts I included this year are sentimental and can include some personalization so ordering early is helpful.
{This post contains affiliate links}
I try to do a combination of a more thoughtful gift and then something from their favorite store or a monogrammed gift. An example is this last year I found these vintage books from one of my favorites Reefranaria and had them handstamped with all of Kris' parents grandchildren. They can be used as book ends or for decorating. Add a small gift to their favorite store and you are all set!
This year on my gift guides all you have to do is click the image to be taken to the items! I hope this is helpful and more gift guides to come! :)
- this cutting board is such a sweet gift! Love that you can personalize it with her grandma name too!
- I also love this cheese board that can be personalized. Add some fancy cheese knives too!
- this Marley & Lilly pullover is a perfect monogrammed gift for any woman! I love that it has fast shipping too!
- barefoot dreams cardigans and blankets are probably one of my favorite gifts to give. From your mama to a new mama they are the BEST!
- amonogrammed scarf is such a thoughtful gift and is under $20!
- this heart shaped photo collage from Minted is a really fun way to give a photo gift!
- a framed portrait silhouette - my sister in law did this one year for her mom and I thought it was SO thoughtful!
- these vintage books are one of my favorite gifts to give!
- these personalized phone covers (name, photo) are so fun! Kris' mom did them one year for me with the girls pictures and I loved it so much.
- this personalized jewelry is a gift any mom or grandma would love! This bracelet is so dainty and beautiful and I love that you can add all the grandchilden's names to this one!
- a pillow with all of her grandchildren's names!
- both sets of parents in our family are in major travel mode now which is so awesome! I love these travel gift ideas: a leather tech envelope to hold their device, cords, pen, etc. and it can be personalized. a travel wallet that has amazing reviews and is super affordable. leather luggage tags are a thoughtful and affordable gift! this jewelry case can be personalized and is SO pretty and practical!
- personalized stationery is such a great gift to receive!
- Is she a sports fan? This cute clear cross body bag with her monogram would be a super sweet gift for football and sports watching!
- this handwritten recipe tea towel gift is so special. I love that it can be passed down!
- family tree art gift - I think if my girls ever gave me this one I might cry, such a treasured heirloom gift!
2019 Christmas Pajamas for Girls
01 November 2019
9:15 PM
Hello! It is so hard to believe that it is already November! It feels like this year just started. Now that we are in November, some of my holiday content is going to start! I don't decorate until after Thanksgiving, but I always try to get my shopping done as early as possible to alleviate stress as we get closer to Christmas!
The first post in blog holiday content is all about Christmas Pajamas! For as long as I can remember, as a child, all of my siblings and I would wear matching Christmas pajamas. My mom used to make them! Amazing! I continued this tradition with the girls - except I don't make them LOL! I'm not that talented! One year I forgot about getting everyone's Christmas pajamas and found myself with not much to pick from in the end on the day before Christmas Eve so I am an early bird shopper now!
Today's post has a fun twist, because I am teaming up with one of my best blogger friends Meghan Lanahan to share pajamas for both boys and girls! Meghan has a little (adorable!) boy and since I have 2 girls we thought we could be a resource for both genders if we teamed up! Yay! Head over to her blog this morning to see all of her picks!
Below are my favorite Christmas pajamas for both women and girls. The great thing is that almost all of these have matching dad patterns as well! Or if that isn't your thing, coordinating as a family vs matching is another fun option (what we normally pick)! Almost everything is from Old Navy, Target, Macys, Amazon and Smocked Auctions! Also, Hanna Anderson, one of the brands shared below is on sale for 40% off until 11/3 at midnight!
black buffalo check (girls, women), red buffalo check (girls, women pants, women top), blue/green plaid (girls, women plaid, women plain green), reindeer fair isle
kids plaid flannel pajamas, plaid flannel pants for women, red/blue plaid pajamas (girls, women), red/green stripe pajamas (girls, women), red henley & plaid pants, graphic tee & coordinating plaid shorts, deer pajama family set, Christmas tree truck pajamas, jolly state girls pajama set, women's plaid button down pajamas (1 & 2), tshirt & buffalo plaid shorts
nutcracker pajamas, plaid button down pajamas, red fair isle pajamas, gingerbread man nightgown, pink multi santa pajamas, monogram onesie white pajamas, red santa pajama set, red nightgown, pink santa pajama set, red women's slippers, kids fair isle slippers, family slippers (mama, papa, baby), reindeer slippers, girls tartan plaid robe

I included both casual and dressy options as well :) Last year I also did a more general post on things I've learned form doing family photo sessions! You can find it here!

Four Styled Fall Outfits With Walmart
23 September 2019
10:12 AM
Happy first day of fall! While we don't have much of a fall here in south Florida, it is still my favorite season by far. I grew up in in New Jersey where trips to the apple cider mill and hot chocolate with leaves turning bright bold colors were all a part of the seasons turning. I have also always loved fall style and dressing for fall - bold colors, prairie/bohemian style, animal prints and layers!

Today I am so excited to share four on trend and unique fall looks that include items all found at Walmart. I love their September Edit which is a curated round up of on trend pieces which makes it easy to shop for fall! Some of the trends they highlight are animal print, pretty prairie, statement boots and resin jewelry to name a few. I found the vast majority of the pieces I styled from this Edit including these peep toe booties, They are one of the most versatile pairs of boots for fall. I love that they can be worn as we transition into fall and they make a statement! Below are the four fall outfit ideas including fit information; I hope you enjoy!
Outfit One
I love the fall colors in this peasant top! It is so comfortable and the peplum waist is such a fun detail! I suggest going with your normal size in this top. My jeans are the perfect pair of non-distressed high rise denim! They are great for a more polished look and I love the dark wash. I am also wearing my normal size 4. These statement peep toe booties also fit true to size (go up half if you go between).
Outfit Two
I love this beautiful leopard top! It has the same fit as the red top in the first outfit. Animal print is very on trend for fall and this top is such a pretty way to add it to your wardrobe! I added this faux leather jacket that has the best quality! I love the fit layered look it creates with so many different outfit options.
Outfit Three
This dress is gorgeous! I love the flowy but flattering fit and it is lined! I picked the black dress, but it comes in several other colors. The prairie style is one of my favorite fall trends and this dress is spot on for that trend!
Outfit Four
I think this top would be sooo pretty for fall family photos! It is romantic and very flattering! You could add a vest as another layer to this. I wore my normal size medium! These cute leopard booties are also true to size and very comfy! If you go between 2 sizes I would go up half.
All of the items from this post are included here and some other fun on trend finds!
Thank you so much to Walmart for sponsoring this post. I selected these pieces myself and as always all thoughts/opinions are my own!

Jackson, WY With Kids In The Summer
02 September 2019
6:43 AM
I am finally done with our Jackson Hole trip recap! Warning, this is a long post. I had an overwhelming response with people asking for travel details that I wanted to make sure I covered everything! This trip has been on my bucket list and it did not disappoint. It was by far one of our favorite family vacations to date.
None of this post is sponsored but affiliate links are used in parts. Thank you for supporting this blog!
WHEN WE TRAVELED
WHEN WE TRAVELED
We planned our trip around the girls being off for summer and Kris' work schedule, so the first week of August was the best for everyone! It ended up being such a great time of year to visit as well. The national parks were a little crowded, but not terribly so. The weather was SUCH a welcomed change from our South Florida summer weather. It was in the 40/50s in the mornings and would normally reach a high of 80 in the afternoon. Nights were cool and comfortable!
When we started looking at flights we quickly decided to fly into Salt Lake City, Utah instead of the Jackson Hole Airport. We normally fly Delta and we could get a direct flight from Fort Lauderdale. We also saved a significant amount of money by flying to Salt Lake vs Jackson! We got a rental car and made the drive from SLC to Jackson. It took us about 4.5 hours and we drove through Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. It was such a pretty and relaxing drive - one of my favorite parts of the trip!
My travel outfit - we left super early in the morning so I didn't have a chance to take a picture at the airport. Avery in the background LOL
boyfriend fit tee, leopard joggers, similar sneakers
the prettiest drive from salt lake city to jackson
WHERE WE STAYED
We use Marriott Bonvoy points so it was an easy hotel choice for us to stay at the Springhill Suites in Downton Jackson! I have so many good things to say about this hotel. First is the location. It is located about 2 blocks off of the main Jackson Hole Square where so many of the shops, restaurants and downtown attractions are. Each morning we would take a walk to grab coffee/hot chocolate at one of the amazing coffee shops (see below in food for what we loved!).

Charlotte - Chambray button down, similar pink puffer vest, leopard leggings (toddler)
WHAT WE DID
Downtown Jackson
We had so much fun just walking around downtown in Jackson Hole. There are so many art galleries, shops, restaurants and things to see! At each corner of the square, there are elk antler arches; I had never seen anything like it before! There is also a reenactment of a frontier shoot out every night at 6pm in the square. Each night we saw tons of families walking around, people out getting ice cream, etc. It is really lively and fun!
downtown jackson is full of so many pretty spots!
Avery - camo top, sherpa pullover (also love these and the colors), similar pants, boots
Charlotte - Vest, leggings

my favorites!
On our first full day in Jackson, we had a slower morning because of all the travel the day before. And poor Kris was up at 5am fielding phone calls eastern time so the girls and I ventured out to grab us all some coffee and breakfast and let him sleep.
Then we made the 15 minute drive out of the downtown area to Teton Village! It was another pretty drive; the mountains are everywhere! Teton Village is a whole other center of activity! Hotels, restaurants, skiing in the winter, etc. In Teton Village they have an Aerial Tram that you can take up to the top of the mountain (10,000 elevation)! We bought our tickets prior to arriving because they offer a pre-purchase discount. The tram ride to the top of the mountain was incredible and the views were so good! The top of the mountain has several hiking options and a snack station with incredible waffles!
After going on the Ariel Tram we explored the rest of Teton Village. We ate ate the Mangy Moose for lunch, the girls played on the playground (thanks to one of your suggestions!) and then took the chair lift/gondolas to the top of the mountain.
we snapped this photo before getting on the Aerial Tram!

the cute playground. the girls loved it. there is a shaded area for parents to sit as well.
Grand Teton National Park
The next morning we were up early and made the quick drive to Grand Teton National Park. Grand Teton is very close to Jackson Hole which made it an easy part to explore. We started off at Jenny Lake in the morning which gets REALLY crowded in the afternoon. It has a great visitor area and then you can venture off from there to hike/explore.
We decided to take the Jenny Lake Ferry across the lake. The ferry dock was just a short walk from the visitor center and helped us to avoid an additional 2+ miles of hiking around the lake that we knew the girls (and us probably, ha!) would struggle with. The ferry ranged from $10-$18 for round trip tickets and the girls had so much fun on the boat! From the dock there are marked trails to hike to the Hidden Waterfall or Inspiration Point which is a bit higher up!
After hiking at Jenny Lake we went to have lunch at the Jackson Lake Lodge inside the park. There are several restaurants and we ate at the Blue Heron which had patio dining with the Tetons as your view! After lunch we kept driving towards the Moulton Barns and stopped to see them prior to heading back to Jackson!
at the Jenny Lake Visitor Center before starting to hike
there were rangers set up to share animal/park information with the kids!
after getting off the ferry and starting to hike
beautiful views!
not the best quality photo but one of my favorites, the girls were playing in the creek!
Snow King Mountain
Snow King Mountain was one of our favorite days in Jackson! It was about 1 mile from our hotel and was literally heaven for the girls. Snow King is another ski area during the winter but during summer they have a ton of activities for families! Some of our favorites were the Alpine Slide, Cowboy Coaster, Trampoline Bungee Jumping, Mini Golf, Maze and the Chair Lift. We ended up buying their family all day pass so we didn't have to buy tickets to each individual activity and we were there all day. I completed our family liability waivers online prior to coming and that saved us some time!
about to start the day at Snow King!

charlotte in her element, ha!
Bar T 5 Covered Wagon Cookout
After our day at Snow King Mountain we had dinner reservations at the Bar T 5 Covered Wagons! It was one of our favorite experiences from our trip! Basically you sign up for a specific show/dinner time and head out in covered wagons with a large group of people. I think our show had 6 covered wagons head out for dinner. The ride to the dinner spot was so pretty and full of their actors pretending to be bandits and historic figures! The girls were so excited about that!
They had amazing food and the best hot chocolate that I've ever had! When you go up to get your food there is staff there to help moms/dads who are helping multiple kids with plates which was so nice! The show consisted of mini plays, sing alongs and musical performances. It was so much fun!
Avery's outfit - peplum top, boots
Charlotte's outfit - overalls, shirt, boots
My outfit - kimono, tshirt, jeans, shoes, cross body bag
the girls had the best time riding up into the mountains!
Yellowstone National Park
To say Yellowstone was amazing would be an understatement. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! I will say that we did not see Yellowstone properly, lol! It is HUGE. Like you probably need 4 days to really see it all. Since we were based in Jackson for this trip we really only got a glimpse of the park, but it made us want to come back! We went to see Old Faithful erupt, walked along the Biscuit Basin, saw the Grand Prismatic Springs and walked along the Fountain Paint Pot Trail.
about to head out for Yellowstone! the girls had their hot chocolate in hand!

such an incredibly beautiful place!
we stopped to get a picnic lunch at the Old Faithful Inn and watched the eruption!

Salt Lake City
On our last day in Jackson we walked around town for a bit, had breakfast at The Bunnery and then made the drive back to Salt Lake! We stopped at Fossil Butte National Monument which was on the way back and the girls learned more about fossils! They are currently obsessed with Dinosaurs.
We spent one night in SLC before our red eye flight the next day. We took the girls to the Children's Museum, walked by the temple and shopped at City Center! The girls went to Claires and I got to shop at Evereve for the first time; we were all happy, ha!

WHAT WE ATE
Ok, now onto the good stuff! Jackson has an amazing food scene! I was so impressed by each meal that we had. Here were some of our favorite spots:
Pinky G's Pizzeria - One of the best pizzas I've ever had! Seriously so good. We did take out from Pinky G's to our hotel the first night that we got into town!
Gather - Gather was SUCH a good dinner. It was one of the nicer restaurants that we went to and it did not disappoint! I had the elk bolognese and loved it!
Moo's Ice Cream - The best local ice cream! Was full of people and they had a kids play/sitting
area!
Million Dollar Cowboy Steakhouse - Million Dollar Cowboy is a Jackson must do and it is located right in the town square! There is a bar on the first level and then for dinner you walk downstairs to their steakhouse. Kris LOVED his steak and my halibut was awesome!
Kitchen - Kitchen was probably my favorite meal while in Jackson. We ate here after a long day at Yellowstone and basically ordered the whole menu, ha! The restaurant was really nice but also casual so we felt comfortable having the girls there. The food has an Asian influence and we loved their calamari and I had the ramen bowl.
The Bunnery - This cute spot is a MUST for breakfast! Amazing pancakes, oatmeal, bacon, eggs etc and there were so many tables that it was easy to get right in to eat.
Persephone - We stumbled on Persephone on our first morning in town, and I am SO glad that we did! It is a gem! It is a bakery/restaurant with amazing coffee as well! They have an entire outdoor seating area with large reclaimed wood tables and heaters to keep you warm! I had the avocado seed bowl and loved it.
